About the artist
Ciane Xavier is a sculptor and multimedia artist who utilises 3D technology and 3D printing in combination with photopolymer resins to create her sculptures. Additionally, she incorporates 3D animations into her artwork.
Ciane enjoys exploring the intersection of technology and nature, as well as societal and cultural issues. Her artwork is a reflection of her personal experiences and perspective on the world.
Ciane Xavier originally hails from a small town in the countryside of South Brazil. From a young age, she dreamed of exploring the immense diversity of cultures around the world, through her career as a fashion model. Today, Ciane is living her dream, and has had the opportunity to travel to numerous countries and experience different cultures firsthand. Since her teens Ciane has lived in more than 14 different countries, which has shaped much of what she today calls as a process of identity loss and reconstruction of one self. This is strongly reflected in her work, which demonstrates a exploration of selfhood and identity.
Ciane’s first encounter with her inner artist started in the Philippines while painting the walls of her new apartment. She describes it as follows: “My journey started when I was doodling on the walls of my living room. She drew freely without any restraints, daydreaming about my life experiences and materializing personal emotions.”
Ciane realised that her soul is the real artist and her hands are the bridge between two different worlds”. This was a turning point in her life when she decided to emerge herself into art.
Since then, she has been honing her skills as a painter and sculptor, learning about different materials and how to incorporate them into her work. She is constantly pushing herself to refine her techniques and produce innovative pieces with the help of 3D technology and 3D Printing. She is a self-taught visual and multimedia artist, and a disciplined learner. All of her skills are self-taught;She has been learning programming on atomization and game development for the integration of her work and by creating Virtual Reality experiences and spaces, she is able to explore her thoughts and creativity even further. This allows her to create unique and and innovative experiences that push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of gaming.
