About the artist
“The appearance of my works are only their emerged part”.
Mrs SteamCloudy started drawing from early childhood. From a young age she was first given a pencil, and since then she has never stopped creating. Self-taught, she used observation to picture her world. She was interested in any artistic field, painting on canvas, wood, various supports and sculpture.
Mrs SteamCloudy likes to link mediums together, to reincarnate a subject in several forms. She brought many of her paintings to life in the form of text, which she then transcribed into music.
After general studies, she worked in the entertainment industry on large format frescoes.
Since March 2020, Mrs SteamCloudy has declared herself as an artist author to mar the canvases with its cracks.
Artwork Themes & Subject Matter
Mrs SteamCloudy thus began to give birth to her current style. She locates her works in Dark Surrealism. Paintings mixing dreams and darkness. Creation is a vitality to her; it is a visceral need to exteriorize her cerebral darkness. Psychology is a primordial subject in her paintings.She struggle tirelessly to find meaningful metaphors, hoping they resonate with a few people.
Mrs SteamCloudy attach the greatest importance to illustrating psychiatric illnesses, psychological suffering. Too often in the shadow of our society, she wants at her small level, to consider them at their right magnitude.
For art; her life, traumas, and pathologies, but also those of warriors that she have known, have become her muses. Expressing the shadow imperceptible to the naked eye, in surrealist metaphors, is her way of transforming suffering into an image, and thus, shimmering it beyond the cerebral cage.
Isn’t it completely surreal to want to highlight shadows?
