About the artist
Sid Daniels is a Miami Beach based artist. In his work, he explores the language of fashion. He draws inspiration from the rich visual language of retro fashion and Art Deco to create vibrant works that blur the lines between nostalgia and modernity. His works lure you into a theatrical extravaganza with an ensemble of models and performers, each work telling a story, enhanced by the magic of the artist’s line, use of color and wide range of technique and media, all adding to the rhythmic flow, and stylized glamour in his works, trademarks to his style.
Born in Toronto, Canada, he studied Art and Design at the Ontario College of Art and later relocated to NYC where he focused on large scale acrylics on canvas with the themes of Burlesque and fashion. His work appeared on the covers of albums and CDs for jazz and disco record companies, and mural commissions for restaurants, nightclubs and hotels internationally and in the United States. Upon his relocation to Miami Beach, he immersed himself into the community creating commemorative posters, and art for commercial companies and campaigns that included Nescafe Coffee Canada, and Arthur Murray International, together with philanthropic brands, like DIFFA and Absolute Vodka, in the United States.

Sid Daniels’ work spans four distinct themes and formats, each reflecting his dynamic artistic vision. His work is a fusion of history, movement, and emotion, offering collectors and art enthusiasts a diverse range of visual narratives to explore.
- Retro Fashion Works on Paper – In these pieces, Sid collaborates with the aesthetics of past and present fashion designers, capturing iconic styles from bygone eras. His personal style transports viewers into the past, celebrating the elegance and charm of vintage fashion.
- Figurative Works on Canvas – These paintings exaggerate the female form, incorporating bold patterns and innovative linear techniques to create striking, expressive figures.
- Abstract Works on Paper – Inspired by architectural forms and whimsical landscapes, these studies pulse with the energy of Latin music, revealing intricate, rhythmic compositions.
- Abstract Works on Canvas – Expanding on his paper studies, these larger pieces emphasize surface texture and architectural influences, particularly referencing the rich design elements of Art Deco.
