Christian Boehmer

About the artist

Christian Boehmer is an autodidact artist and started his first artistic steps in the graffiti scene of the late 1990s. In the process, he very quickly began to focus exclusively on figurative picture elements. The principle of colorful and very dynamic image design, borrowed from the graffiti context, can still be found in many of his works.

Artwork Themes & Subject Matter

As an artist, Christian Boehmer mainly deal with interpersonal relationships and emotions. Thereby his figures are always alienated by a masking / made unrecognizable, to focus the story of the artwork exclusively on the emotional level. In the more recent works, his works are also extended to the level of the relationship between man and nature. To further enhance the story of the image, he usually use very dynamic and high-contrast compositions that emerge selectively from the picture frame
