About the artist
Masa ZODROS is a digital artist who offers portraits of black men and women with a militant pictorial approach. Inspired by Renaissance painting, she uses digital and composite art to create works that illustrate a world that has or could have existed. She is passionate about artistic activism, the influence of the Renaissance era and the innovative use of digital art, the works of Masa ZODROS are made for you. With its unique portraits, it offers a new and captivating perspective on black beauty.
Artwork Themes & Subject Matter
Masa ZODROS has two main themes that stands out: the Renaissance series and the Black and Divine Body.
The Renaissance series is a personal extrapolation of the representation of black figures in the ancient world – from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.
The Black and Divine Body Series is a collection of illustrations that depict the divine black body in biblical passages, rituals, sacred history, and more.
