About the artist
Kasia Davies is a multifaceted artist, painter, interior designer, and creative manager whose dynamic career spans visual arts, design, music, and production. Born in Poland and based in London for much of her life, Kasia bridges cultural influences with a deeply personal artistic voice that reflects both her diverse background and broad creative interests.
Her formal education is as varied as her practice: she holds a degree in Theatre Studies, developed her business expertise at the London School of Management, and studied interior design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. This interdisciplinary foundation has fueled her ability to move fluidly between creative disciplines—from painting and set design in advertising, to music production and band management.
As an artist, Kasia has exhibited her work across Europe, participating in numerous group shows and building a growing international following. Her paintings are held in private collections in Poland, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, and the USA. She was named a finalist of the prestigious YICCA 2025 International Contest of Contemporary Art and is the 1st Prize winner of the IT’SLIQUID International Contest 2025.
Artwork Themes & Subject Matter
Kasia Davies’ current artistic practice is rooted in colorism, using acrylics to explore the tension between intensity and harmony. She is fascinated by the symbolic power of the female form and water—two elements that represent life, resilience, sensuality, and mystery. By depicting women in luminous aquatic settings, she seeks to elevate the mundane into the sublime, creating tranquil yet emotionally resonant tableaux. These scenes often carry a subtle emotional undercurrent, inviting the viewer to find echoes of their own inner states within the painted stillness.
Influenced heavily by Pop Art and Impressionism, Kasia’s work embraces both stylistic playfulness and emotional nuance. From Pop Art, she draws a love for bold contrasts, anti-naturalistic vibrancy, and a graphic sensibility. From Impressionism, she borrow spontaneity, ephemeral light, and the ability to evoke mood through colour and texture. “My work seeks to merge these sensibilities into a language that is uniquely my own—colourful, immersive, and quietly powerful”.
