About the artist
Brad Kunkle (b. 1978, Lehighton, Pennsylvania) is an internationally recognized contemporary artist known for his distinctive use of gold and silver leaf in oil painting. His career gained significant momentum in 2010 when his debut solo exhibition in New York City sold out on opening night, marking his emergence onto the international art stage.
Since then, Kunkle’s work has been collected privately across the globe and is held in the permanent collection of the New Salem Museum. His practice has also reached beyond Earth: his work is preserved in a digital time capsule on the Moon as part of the Lunar Codex, in partnership with NASA’s Artemis program—cementing his place in both contemporary art history and a truly cosmic archive.
Brad Kunkle is the 1st Prize Winner of RAYMAR Painting Art Award, Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2025
