Susan Grace is a contemporary figurative painter from the United States whose oil works revolve around the human body, though her subjects rarely feel fixed or static. Instead, each portrait suggests a sense of transformation, capturing figures in states of transition. Her practice centers largely on the female form, examining the many dimensions through which feminine identity can be shaped and expressed.
