About the artist
Morgane Magloire is a French artist who has recently begun her professional career, but she has been painting for over ten years and has always wanted to make a living from her art. She began working with traditional media such as a ballpoint pen, colored pencil, and watercolor, but she later discovered digital media, which is now her primary tool for creating.
She enjoys returning to traditional media especially oil painting. Morgane works in the publishing industry making book covers, interior illustrations…but has also created card illustrations for games like “Magic The Gathering” and “Daggerheart”.
Morgane Magloire is the 2nd Prize Winner of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Digital Art Award 2025
Artwork Themes & Subject Matter
Morgane Magloire’s work is highly influenced by the old masters, such as Charles Edward Perugini, John William Godward, and Eugene de Blaas. What she loves the most is experimenting with colors and expressions to capture brief moments of magic and emotion in each illustration.
Portraiture is her favorite subject, as she believes a face expresses everything: sadness, fear, happiness. That is why she spends a lot of time perfecting little details so that it reflects the appropriate feeling.
Her artworks express a wide range of emotions, but they also reflect experiences from her personal life : grief, nostalgia, anger. She describes her genre as classical/fantasy.
