From Pop Art, she draws a love for bold contrasts, anti-naturalistic vibrancy, and a graphic sensibility. She is especially drawn to the symbolism of the female form and luminous water, both of which she sees as powerful representations of life, resilience, sensuality, and mystery. Kasia transforms ordinary moments into something more dreamlike and meditative, creating scenes that feel calm on the surface yet emotionally layered underneath.

Gregory Malphurs

Each element functions like a fragment of a larger puzzle, exploring themes of introspection, conflict, and the complexity of human existence. Through his work, Gregory reveals a shared sense of personal struggle and the ongoing attempt to make sense of life’s scattered pieces. Guided by intuition, he continually feels the need to always challenge himself to go further, not to accept things at face value and never settle a need to go deeper and look at the places in ourselves we would
rather avoid.

Kate Balfe
Painting | United States
Kate Balfe was raised in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada, by an American mother and a British father. She initially studied at Sheridan College in Oakville before continuing her education at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she completed a degree in Classical Animation.
Art has long been Kate Balfe’s way of working through intense emotions, using image-making as a means of turning inner experiences into something shared and visible. Her work occupies the space between anxiety and imagination, exploring how wonder can exist alongside fear in an often overwhelming world. Through her practice, she looks for moments of comfort, awe, and emotional connection rather than surrendering to uncertainty or dread.
Nostalgia is central to her work, acting as both a place of comfort and a reminder of loss and impermanence. Themes of mortality quietly run throughout her imagery, often expressed through dramatic shifts in scale, contrasts between nature and industry, and distortions of time that function as visual metaphors.
